RCP Singh’s kin shot at in Nalanda district

BIHARSHARIF: Miscreants shot at and critically injured a relative of former Union minister and BJP leader RCP Singh in Nalanda late Sunday evening. The victim, Pintu Singh alias Pragati Kumar, was returning home after attending a meeting with RCP Singh when the firing took place.
Pintu has accused co-villagers Salan Mahto and Dalan Mahto and said the duo, associated with JD(U), had threatened him if he did not stop meeting the BJP leader.Nalanda SP Ashok Mishra, however, said that Pintu had a dispute with the accused, which might be a reason behind the attack.
Former Union minister Singh condemned the incident, suggesting that it might be part of a political conspiracy.
